In the second part of the Via Stockalper, hikers will be overwhelmed by the Simplon Pass idyllic landscape with its large fields and pastures, its historical buildings, the remains of the ancient mule track and of the “Strada Napoleonica”, the path Napoleon walked down to Italy, and then  the small walser villages, the “white” village of Simplon Dorf and the Museum dedicated to the Simplon Route.
