Held in the Oasi di Preglia, the Alpini group and the grassroots association get together to organise the Sagra della Lumaca, the Snail Harvest Festival. The event sees a vast array of delicious dishes on offer, each featuring the festival’s star ingredient, the snail. Whether they are served Ossola, Brittany or Burgundy style or fried, snails are also cooked in many other ways for the occasion to the delight of visitors. Local music entertainment is put on every evening during this three-day event.
