The food and wine event Gustus is set in the charming village of Mergozzo, awarded an orange flag in the prestigious Touring Club Italiano listing.
First held in 1992, Gustus takes visitors on a journey to discover all the traditional flavours from the Ossola Valley, with dozens of stands offering food and wine to taste, positioned along the narrow streets and on the little squares of this gorgeous historic town overlooking the Mergozzo Lake.
The Gustus itinerary begins from the main town square, near the big elm tree. The entrance fee includes vouchers and a lovely wine glass to savour local wine.
The traditional specialities served by tradesmen at Gustus will delight even the more demanding palates, with flavours and aromas that only the nearby local farms can offer.
