The Monterosa Est Himalayan Trail is a trail run in the foothills of the Monte Rosa and was held for the first time in Macugnaga in the Anzasca Valley in the summer of 2018. The MEHT features a range of different routes, some along spectacular passes into Switzerland. The trail also includes more expert, exciting trails, such as the relay race, ideal for couples too. The start and finish lines are both located in Macugnaga and the trail covers paths flanked by the stunning east side of the Monte Rosa, the only mountain for expedition style mountaineering in the entire Alpine region.
