The Rosa Ski Raid is a spectacular ski mountaineering race scheduled every year in Macugnaga, birthplace of the Walser people, which lies at the foothills of Monte Rosa. The race is organised by the Sci Club Valle Anzasca and affords the valuable collaboration of ski mountaineering world champion Damiano Lenzi, hailing from Ceppo Morelli, in the Anzasca Valley.
The Rosa Ski Raid forms part of the Italo-Swiss International Ski Tour circuit, which links up all the valleys that attract ski mountaineering enthusiasts from Piedmont and the Canton of Valais.
