At 1036 metres (3399 ft) above sea level, on the eastern end of the rocky balcony that supports the small town of Trasquera, in the Divedro Valley, stands the parish church dedicated to Saints Gervasio and Protasio.
Already mentioned in the statutes of the Divedro Valley in 1321, the current structure is the result of an extension after 1550 and has a central nave embellished with a high altar. On the sides there are five other minor altars and the baptistery.
The bell tower has a considerable height of 25 metres (82 ft) and, given the panoramic position of the entire structure, is a symbol of this part of Ossola Valley. A curiosity of the bell tower is that it houses five bells made in 1927, the largest of which has a diameter of 101 centimetres (40 inches) and a weight of about 600 kilograms (1323 lbs) and was dedicated to the fallen of the First World War.
