First held in 2016, Balafest, the Val d’Ossola Beer Festival is an initiative to showcase and promote Ossolana craft beer and the local produce offered during the event. Balafest takes place in Domodossola in the tensile building of the “La Prateria” Social Cooperative and is just one of the many events on the SagreOssola festival calendar.
Typical specialities included in the menu are local potato chips, polenta from Beura and stinchéet from Valle Vigezzo (thin sheets of batter made of water and flour). The festival also features music performances, concerts by local bands, entertainments and activities of all kinds.
